The glamping meadow is car free to preserve the peaceful environment.  However, there is a parking area just outside the pedestrian entrance to the glamping meadow.  Please consult the site map for more information.

The units are set out along the boundary of the 2.5 acre glamping meadow.  Each unit is between 10 – 20m away from the next. In addition newly planted hedging provides an extra element of privacy between units.  Please consult the site map for more information about the location of the Huts and Tents.

The Showershack shower and toilet, shared by the 3 Bell Tents, are located about 100m from the Tents in a private location in the adjacent wildflower meadow.  Please consult the site map for more information.

All bed linen and towels are supplied in the Shepherds Huts.  The Bell Tents come complete with bed linen, but guests to the tents DO need to bring their own towel.  All guests should bring ‘beach towels’ if they fancy taking a dip in the wild swimming pond during their stay!

Yes.  There are sockets in the Huts, and the Tents each have outside electricity points.

Yes – free wifi is available on the site.

SPM is by its nature a quiet and peaceful rural site.  Noise travels and so we ask guests respect other visitors and neighbours by keeping any music at a low volume.  After 11pm we request that all noise is kept to a minimum.

Yes – each unit comes complete with matches, firelighters and a bucket of logs and kindling. More buckets of logs can be purchased during your stay.

Yes – however please do not bring portable BBQ’s onto the site.  Firepits with grills are provided to each unit, and they make perfect BBQ’s.  We request that these are used in the designated areas for each unit and are not moved onto the grass for safety reasons.

The Huts have cupboards and a fridge.  The Tents have coolboxes with ice packs which are replaced daily.

Yes – we offer a range of local produce hampers perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner – both cook and non-cook options.  Please see the Food Hampers page for more information.

Yes – everything you need to cook / BBQ and eat (crockery, cutlery, glassware etc) is in your unit.  Please ensure that whatever is used is cleaned and returned to its correct unit after your stay.

Yes – the Huts have sinks in the kitchen, and the Tents are provided with washing up bowls and tea towels, and there is a tap outside each tent.  Environmentally friendly washing up liquid is provided in each unit.

Unfortunately not.  We have tight restrictions as to what accommodation is allowed, and we would like the site to remain small for the enjoyment of all guests.

The site is covered by CCTV.  However, we do recommend that if guests leave the site they take valuables with them. SPM management cannot take responsibility for items left unattended on site.

Early check in (before 3pm) is not possible unfortunately as we need time to prepare the site for the days guests.  We don’t want you to be rushed in the morning so general check out is by 11am.  After this time may be possible, but this can only be arranged the day before as it will depend on whether the unit you are in has a confirmed booking for the next day.  We will do what we can to accommodate your wishes.

Your accommodation is kitted out with everything you need to enjoy your stay so that you can relax in comfort.  Depending on the time you visit it is probably a good idea to bring a pair of wellies for walks around the site and beyond.  Oh – and don’t forget your swimming costume if you want to enjoy our private wild swimming pond!

Due to the nature of the units (sleeping two people in double / king sized beds), the site is most suitable for singles and couples.  However, we are not completely child free!  If you would like to include a child in your booking, to stay in your unit with you, we will do our best to accommodate.  In any event you would be required to bring extra bedding as we would not be able to provide this.

1 well behaved dog is permitted in the Tents.  The pitches are not enclosed so guests must have control of their dogs at all times, and clear up after them.

Only guests of Stone Pit Meadows are permitted on site.

Yes – guests will be given the code for the gate at the entrance to the site. Please be careful if returning after nightfall as there is minimal lighting, and please be mindful of other guests.
